About the
Association.
We are Austria's first cluster headache association – the Cluster Kopfschmerzen Verein Österreich (Austrian Cluster Headache Association). Our goal is to make life with this little-known condition easier through information, exchange and support.
Our Mission
In line with our association's statutes, our focus is on organising information events, training sessions and exchange meetings. We also offer a platform for publications on cluster headache and the opportunity to share experiences and coping strategies in a supportive environment.

Why an association?
Founding the association is a significant step that makes many things possible for us.
Sponsorship
As a registered non-profit association – confirmed by the Austrian tax office – we can officially accept sponsorship to expand what we offer. For companies, sponsoring is already deductible as a business expense.
Resources
We can more easily book event venues, print materials and enter into partnerships.
Transparency
What the association is currently working on and by which rules – honestly, with status instead of promises.

We disclose where our funding comes from. The association is financed from four sources:
- Membership fees
- Corporate sponsorship
- Public grants
- Donations
We name the companies that support us. Currently that is Linde Healthcare only (strategic partnership, since 2025). We will publish the percentage breakdown of these four sources together with our annual report.
